Instagram Reels downloader: save Reels in HD

Instagram lets you bookmark a Reel, but that's not the same as actually saving it — lose your connection, or the creator deletes it, and the bookmark is worthless. How to get a Reel's link

Open the Reel, tap the three dots in the corner (or the paper-plane Share icon), and choose Copy link. Come back to this page, paste the link into the box above, and press Download. The process is identical on iPhone, Android and desktop browsers.

Saving the file to your device

Choose the MP4 option once the link is processed. On a computer the file lands in your Downloads folder automatically. On iPhone, open the download in Safari, tap the Share icon, then Save Video to add it to your Photos app. On Android, downloaded files usually appear directly in your gallery.

Copyright and fair use

Only Reels from public accounts can be processed. The video still belongs to the creator, so if you plan to reuse or repost it anywhere, credit them and, where it matters, ask first — this tool is meant for personal saving and offline viewing.

Reels shared through a direct message link work the same as ones copied from the main feed — the share sheet gives you the same kind of URL either way. This tool never asks for an Instagram login — only the Reel's public link. That link is used once, to fetch the video, and isn't kept afterward. It's worth being cautious with any Reels "downloader" that asks you to sign in first; that's a request a genuine link-based tool never needs to make.

Some creators cross-post the same Reel to both Instagram and Facebook. Saving trending and viral Reels

A Reel that's currently trending is processed no differently from one with a handful of views — there's no extra load or delay tied to popularity.
